As the Japanese Government prepares for the upcoming years, new facilities are being built to house those senior citizens who require additional care their families cannot provide. Nearly 45% of the 2007 fiscal budget was set aside for social security expenditures, a figure amounting to 21.1 trillion Yen. This being the government’s largest area of focus no doubt shows its awareness and commitment to this rapidly approaching problem
